Proposal List for Future Polls
This is the set of items to consider when adding to future polls. Please edit and add your own suggestions here.
- This All Come Back Now by various
- Notes: Anthology of Aboriginal Australian & Torres Strait stories [may be hard to source outside Australia]
- Suggested by dzshuniper
- Termination Shock by Neal Stephenson
- “It is longer than usual, also less progressive than usual we read here. Interesting take on trying to solve global warming by geoingineering. It is far from technosolitionism (which Neal is known for).”
- Suggested by Jacek, now moved to https://m.askesis.pl/@jacek
- Foundryside by Robert Jackson Bennett
- A more industrial-era fantasy novel, where the magic system is largely magic rules lawyering. This is book one of a trilogy, but I think the first book ends very solidly in a way you could read just one and enjoy it. The other two books also each satisfyingly escalate the magical ideas from book one.
- Suggested by enne
- Shigidi and the Brass Head of Obalufon by Wole Talabi
- Notes: [first published August 2023; wait for paperback]
